Ananda was one of three of the founding members of the US Hemp Roundtable and lobbied extensively for full hemp legalization in 2018; the company served as a blueprint for the ‘new’ American hemp farmer in the eyes of many politicians and Ananda was the only company invited to the white house to represent the hemp industry while president Trump signed the 2018 farm bill. 

Ananda Hemp was among the first vertically integrated brands to enter the CBD market after the 2014 farm bill and was the first company to legally important genetics under the (then) new provision with DEA import permit. Ananda offers seed-to-shelf products grown and manufactured in Kentucky and has one of the most robust traceability programs in the industry.

Ananda manufactures and distributes all of its products in a LEED Platinum+ certified, carbon-negative facility in Kentucky. As a pioneer in science and research Ananda employs the only person in the USA that holds a PhD in cannabinoid therapy. Ecofibre’s chairman and lead investor, Barry Lambert is the most active philanthropist in the cannabis industry with over $40M personally donated. 

On November 14th, 2019, Ananda Hemp's parent company, Ecofibre, released the results of an 8-week study on Hemp Derived CBD (CBD) in the Journal Postgraduate Medical and Hospital Practice. The study was financed by Ecofibre and over seen by Dr. Alex Capano, Chief Science Officer of Ecofibre's Ananda Health business in the United States.
